We’re really excited to share that Warner have been officially approved by the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) as a Kickstart provider. Following an in-depth tender process, we have been awarded a total of 795 placements, with Warner having 175 of these across the Parks and Hemel teams.

Kickstart is a brilliant Government scheme which provides funding to companies to create new job placements for 16 to 24-year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long-term unemployment.

As part of our tender process, we made a commitment to the DWP to provide the following:

  • The offer of a 6-month placement
  • A minimum of 25 hours per week
  • The creation of brand-new additional roles, that have come about due to the changing landscape across the UK and the pandemic
  • Complete wraparound care – to do this we have partnered with training provider, Lifetime who run our apprenticeships programmes. They will run a 6-month training programme to help these team gain valuable employability skills for the future

It’s being run by the DWP, so your local Jobcentre will be able to run you through the specific criteria, and help you find out whether or not you’re eligible.

    As a Warner Host on a Kickstart programme your training and experience will cover how to:
    – Host an exceptional experience for our guests
    – Work across our Dining, Bar and Coffee shop departments with our food and beverage teams

    You will be working in a in a high performing and fast paced environment aiming to exceed our guest’s needs and expectations on a daily basis.

    Role responsibilities:

    – Always guest focused whilst having a positive and problem-solving attitude
    – Developing your knowledge about our product whilst learning hospitality skills in order to deliver a truly memorable experience for our guests

    Experience and training:

    – No formal qualifications or experience is required but a good standard of English spoken language is essential

    – Ability to create natural conversation with guests and reassure them in all current processes in the facilities department.
    – Learn and develop new skills in the Facilities area including Maintenance, Housekeeping and Grounds. Don’t worry we will provide all the training. Guest bedroom cleaning and replenish, general hotel maintenance and gardening.

    – Maintain and provide a clean and safe environment for our guests by adhering to Cleaning and Health & Safety processes

How we will support you

Warner know that wellness and support are key to our team and in these roles, like all of our roles you will have non stop support to help you develop.

As part of our promise to the DWP of our training and employment skills, Warner have partnered with Lifetime support to run a six month course. All Kickstart candidates will have a dedicated training coach and planned programme. Please see below for an example plan of your programme. These sessions will be run virtually with a learning journal to track your progress.
